So Mad About Rummy I Can't Control Myself

I am literally shaking with anger over Rumsfeld's resignation.   If there is one thing this shows us, which we already knew and which needs to be pounded into the head of every media moron out there, it's that yes, believe it or not, public officials in power will make statements that have nothing to do with the truth, but are aimed at projecting a certain persona or attitude or simply to stick to talking points. For so long, Republicans have given this guy a pass. Even after his predictions were all wrong, after his judgments got thousands of innocent soldiers and children killed, they kept repeating the same garbage again and again about how great he is. Even last week, Bush threw his full support behind Rummy. With Rumsfeld's rapid post election departure, it has never been more clear that they do not fully back him, that he has made mistakes.

If he was truly as skilled and vital to protecting the country as they claim he is, would they really risk all of our lives to let this great protector go? No way. But by dumping him within hours of their election slaughter, there is no doubt that all this time they knew he was a failure. Which means all of this time, while my friends and your friends and families have been maimed and killed, while a country has seen its people, culture, and infrastructure destroyed, this was all a god damn game to them.

I am so sick I don't know what to do next. With or without the Senate, how are we going to start getting these tough questions asked. We have never throughout this whole 6 year fight had the media on our side. How in the world do we expect to now get them to shine a light on these disgusting facts about this administration and how they have played politics with our lives?
